Article Processing Charges

A publication fee (APC) charged to authors by academic publishers to make a research article freely available as open access. This fee covers peer-review administration, copyediting, production, hosting, and archiving, and is typically paid by the author’s institution or research funder. In cases where authors are unable to meet the full publication fee, a partial fee discount may be granted subject to a reasoned request submitted to the editorial office at the time of submission.
